History
History of The Church
Bible Baptist Church started on the 11th of June 2000 by Missionary Darrin Faucette to form an independent Baptist Church.
Bible Baptist Church is an autonomous congregation that exercises congregational rule. They operate according to historic Baptist principles but he no hierarchy or governing body. They do associate with other Baptist churches of like faith but operate independently.
The size of the church is an average of fourteen adults. The amount of outreach that is done through the church gives us expectation of growth in the church. The church is overseen by one Pastor Jim Van Voltenberg, who works on a voluntary basis with no compensation being paid to him. He is self-supported and takes no remuneration from the church due to the limited funds available. In order to grow and expand the ministry of the church and expand outreach the 20 mile radius of responsibility around the church other missionaries will be needed.
We have already been doing outreach for over the past five years in other cities with in the area. Leaflet distribution and radio broadcast is done weekly, street preaching is done monthly and tent meetings are done annually. We have recently sent a locally trained member of the church to start to pastor in a church. Which we need a replacement for him and others in the future.
